The Emperor Misses One Cleanly

This post by the Emperor Misha I (to whom I still have the utmost respect) really ticked me off.

No, Misha, Bush has not handed over a damn thing in this withdrawal at the UN. And no, Misha, Bush has not given the UN anything but token roles in Iraq or anywhere else.

Take a real look at our current relationship with the UN. We have told them to f***-off when we couldn't get what we wanted and went ahead in spite of what Kandy-ass Kofi has to say. We have "opened" our operations to the UN in giving them a SUBORDINATE role to the US in Iraq and Afghanistan. And now we have told them in diplospeak that they will have our participation in UN operations only on sufferance, and that they had best toe the line or we will take our toys and go home.

We have already told the ICC where to stick it by passing a law giving open-ended authorization to use any means neccessary to recover any persons kidnapped by this Kangaroo Court. We really don't need this resolution, but it would have been nice to have it.

Unfortunately the General Secretary has decided to overstep his bounds and has sabotaged the debate on this resolution, so we will withdraw it and go on as we inteded to anyway.

Misha, Bush has been using the UN as a PR tool, nothing more. Withdrawing the open-ended exemption changes nothing. Your wrong-headed reactionary rant is counter-productive.
